Frequently Asked Questions

What does True North mean? True North is an energy, a belief, the focus to live courageously and freely without resistance to change. In short, True North is about following the destiny written upon your heart.

Is this venue environmentally friendly? Yes! We are dedicated to reducing our footprint as much as possible! Here are just a few examples: water distillers to eliminate plastic waste / recycle bins / reduced mowing / repurposing materials / little to no pesticides or herbicides / currently working towards wet land reclamation

How many people can True North Farm & Events accommodate? The venue can accommodate up to 120 guest. Our biggest limitation is parking, please encourage carpooling.

Do you have chairs, tables, table settings? Yes! Each package includes some tables, chairs and cloths, check your contract for specifics. Contact us for any tailor-fit visions and we can help make arraignments.

What is a “borrow room”? Chock full of trending decorations that will make your event pop! This nominal uncharge will save your wallet and your UPS driver as everything you can imagine is already on site.

Does True North offer cleanup? Yes, a cleaning service will be included in your quote so there are no surprises. Hard fast rule for furniture is, treat it like it’s your own and put it back where you found it.

What are the cut-off hours for an event? Living harmoniously means respecting our neighbors. Please plan for all amplified music to end at 9 PM and guest’s departure by 10 PM.

What is the parking situation? Parking lots include 14 cars near the venue house, 30 cars near venue barn and, weather permitting, off-road parking for 4x4’s. Plus two convenient locations for loading and unloading. Please encourage car-pooling. Absolutely no street parking. Parking assistance is available as an optional service.

Is alcohol allowed at True North Farms? No. Our risk to reward analysis is designed to protect all parties involved, including you! Let’s focus on the wedding, the honeymoon and the marriage and create moments worth remembering!

Is there space for a tent? Yes! Our terraces, reception patio and deck system were built for unlimited possibilities.  We want to make your vision come to life, so schedule a tour today! 

Do you have vendor restrictions? Absolutely not! At True North Farm we recognize that weddings are a family affair. Many of our clients have “volunteers” for decorating, food, music, etc however, all paid vendors must be licensed and insured.

Is a coordinator required for True North Farm? Starting 2025 our weekend and Saturday packages include a day-of-coordinator, Carrie Straley with Wild & Wonderful Events. Ask about our all-inclusive packages!

How many bathrooms? Venue house hosts 2.5 restrooms plus a convenient event level restroom.

Is True North handicap accessible? We have wheel chair access to all the important parts of the venue which includes two extra-large restroom (not ADA certified). ADA porta-john can be arraigned so please notify staff of wheelchair accessible needs.

Are pets allowed? Yes, but only when arraignments have been made in advance with staff. True North Farm is a horse farm and horses, by nature, can be dangerous to people and other animals. All pets must stay on leash or be properly restrained regardless of size, species or breed. No pets allowed in venue house.
